Estelle Geddy was born in New York City NYC in the state of New York in the United States of America (USA).

Her real name was Estelle Scher, whereas Geddy was her actress' name.

She was the daughter of Charles Scher and Sarah Scher, who worked in the glass business.

Estelle Geddy started as a comedian in the Yiddish theater and in the Catskills borscht belt resorts, where she was playing on Broadway in the play Torch Song Trilogythe mother of Harvey Fierstein's with her most important stage role .
